How to Relax & Restore in Nha Trang

After Nha Trang was a place that I used to rest and restore-mostly because I was too battered and bruised to do anything after crashing my motorbike on the highway of Vietnam. With its 6km long golden beach it’s not hard to find a place to relax.

You can rent a beach chair and umbrella if you plan on chilling for the whole day or just lay down on the sand for free. Since I was battered and bruised I rented a beach chair- it was about $4 for a day. Purchasing a beach chair is also a great way to give back to the community for letting you lounge on their gorgeous beach.

Around the beach there are many cafes and restaurants. As with anything by the beach- the prices are a lot higher at these establishments. For cheaper options you can take a wander off the tourist tack a bit. There are a lot of amazing restaurants in Nha Trang and seafood is often their specialty.

If you are anything like me, you can only lounge on the beach for so long before you get bored. So to mix things up I decided to go on a snorkeling tour. Sure, I wasn’t a complete beach bum, but the tour was still pretty laid back. You can easily book a tour through many travel agents in Nha Trang.

The tour was great and took us to the different islands around Nha Trang. The boat stopped at different areas to allow us to jump out with our snorkels to swim around. I had no idea at the time that I was snorkeling with a fractured collar-bone!

The snorkeling was fun with colourful fish but don’t expect to see any turtles or sharks. If snorkeling isn’t your thing, don’t worry, you can still enjoy this tour because there was more to it than just snorkeling. The tour also included visiting Tri Nguyen aquarium (which is only accessible by boat), a Vietnamese lunch, and lounging on an island.

If you are looking for a bit more excitement while in Nha Trang there is an awesome water park called Vinpearl Land that you can visit. I’m still a little kid at heart and this water park was on my bucket list for Nha Trang.

Unfortunately, I was too injured from my accident that I couldn’t go. Instead, my travel buddy Cam got to go without me and tell me about how much fun he had. Check it out for yourself if you also want to visit and make me super jealous.

There are a few more things that you can do in Nha Trang such as sightseeing and waterfalls. However, I think that it is the perfect place to take a step back and just relax.
